The Dilley Library, is housed in the Tenison Woods Education Centre at Lochinvar. It contains more than 6,000 theological and spiritual books and some current journals.

The library is named in memory of Monsignor Vincent Dilley, former parish priest of Lochinvar, who, when he died 7 November, 1984, left his theological library to the Sisters of St Joseph.

The mission of the Dilley library is to support the ministry of the Sisters of St Joseph in the adult faith formation of people in the local church, especially through the Tenison Woods Education Centre. It also seeks to serve the wider Christian community in order to promote the Gospel message to our age.

With the development of the Tenison Woods Education Centre, the collection has become more focused on providing resources to support the Centre’s three-year Christian Formation  Course with an emphasis strong on Scripture, Christology, Ecclesiology, Theology, especially Sacramental theology, Ministry and Spirituality.

The Library’s catalogue has been put on line using the ALEPH program from UNILINC and can be accessed by clicking Catalogue above

Access to the library itself and to borrowing, by individuals or groups, may be arranged by e-mail to Sr Colleen Carney at  twec@ssjl.org.au
