Since 1883, the Sisters of St. Joseph Lochinvar
have been committed to continuing the mission of Jesus through a
variety of ministries. The aims and values of Catalyst
Clemente resonate with our Josephite spirit: it is for those who
experience disadvantage and marginalisation; it is focused on
the dignity of the human person; it is an educational initiative
which places knowledge at the service of personal and social
transformation; it takes people where they are, values their
life experience and accompanies them on a journey which offers
hope for new possibilities. Like the Gospel,
Catalyst Clemente
is profoundly
counter-cultural. |

Australian Catholic University, with its origins
in religious orders and institutes, brings a distinctive
spiritual perspective to higher education and is guided by a
fundamental concern for justice and equity, and for the dignity
of all people. The University is pleased to be collaborating
with all involved in Catalyst Clemente Newcastle. The potential of this
university course stems very much from the way it is offered
within the community with the support of community and Church
organisations and the learning partners. The
University
acknowledges with much gratitude the commitment of the course
participants, the lecturers, and all people involved
in or
supporting the program.

For over 100 years, Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers have
had a close relationship with many Orders and organisations of
the Catholic Church, and we are very proud that our Newcastle

program. Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers value community involvement and
strive to make a significant contribution to the wider community
and to make a positive difference to the lives of those whom we

University for someone who is disadvantaged is truly transform-ative
and are pleased to collaborate with those involved. We have a
representative who participates on the Management Team, and will
endeavour to use our contacts in the corporate sector and the
Newcastle legal community to assist the program continue to

The
Samaritans Foundation was established in 1984 as the social
welfare organisation of the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle. It
seeks to express God’s care for all people, particularly those
who are vulnerable and marginalised in our community
through promoting acceptance, justice,
reconciliation, peace and dignity for all.
Samaritans believes that people presently
experiencing disadvantage have the right, equally with others,
to fully participate in and contribute to community life.
Education programs such as Catalyst Clemente greatly assist
people to achieve these goals.
